Drogheda's acclaimed drill artist picked up the award following his collective A92's big win in 2020.
Following another remarkable year for Offica, the drill star has been presented with a special award from Irish platform Ollys TV for his hit single 'Obito'.
The music video for 'Obito', which premiered on the hugely popular GRM Daily YouTube channel in May 2021, has clocked up over 2.3 million views.
Having first risen to prominence in the international drill scene wearing his trademark orange Obito mask – as seen in the video for his breakout hit 'Naruto Drillings', and the subsequent viral remix with KSI – Offica finally removed the mask in May 2020, in the video for 'Face Reveal'. In his video for 'Obito', he continued to lace his verses with anime references, while opting for a new white Obito mask.
“'Obito' to me is the return of the mask," Offica explained at the time. "Just because things are taking off doesn’t mean I’ve forgotten where I came from. 'Obito' is my way of going back to the basics. I’m embracing the Obito mask.”
Produced by his frequent collaborator Kidspyal, the track found Offica returning to his roots with a 'Naruto Drillings' inspired beat. The video also features appearances from Offica's A92 collective.
The award from Ollys TV recognises "achievements in music based on key interactions with music fans, as well as album and digital songs sales, radio airplay, streaming, touring and social engagement." In 2020, A92 picked up the award for their 'Plugged In Freestyle' with Fumez the Engineer.

Since the release of 'Obito', Offica has kept busy with the release of 'D Town Baby', 'Bluebird' and 'Oggy', as well as a headline show at The Academy in Dublin in October.
