Another exciting battle for the number one spot on the Official Irish Charts this week!
'Rain On Me', the second single from Lady Gaga's hotly-anticipated new album, Chromatica, saw the pop icon join forces with none other than Ariana Grande. Not only did it sweep away the competition, it also scored the biggest opening week of 2020 – a title previously held by Billie Eilish's 'No Time To Die'.
Naturally, 'Rain On Me' dominated in the Irish singles chart this week, making Gaga's first debut at number one in 9 years. Her previous number one was with 'Born This Way' in 2011. Chromatica dropped today to much fanfare, so we'll see how it does in next week's album charts.

Meanwhile on the album charts, KSI's Dissimulation beats The 1975's Notes on a Conditional Form (which Hot Press' Paul Nolan deemed "a masterpiece") by a hair's breadth. Both new albums knocked Lewis Capaldi's Divinely Uninspired to a Hellish Extent out of its number one spot, which it has been holding onto with a vice grip for quite a while.
