The pair used music as a means of resolving their "rocky patch" during the pandemic.
Oh Wonder have shared their brand new track, ‘True Romance,’ ahead of the upcoming album, 22 Make, which is set to arrive on July 22.
Following on from the already released ‘Fuck It I Love You’ and ‘Magnificent,’ the new track is inspired by the 1993 movie of the same name, starring Christian Slater and Patricia Arquette.
Josephine Vander West, of Oh Wonder, described the track as “quite simple.”
“We recorded it three different times. It started out being way more pop and fast and really intense, but realized that it translated beautifully just singing it at the piano; it’s actually quite a simple, beautiful chorus. So we slowed it down, chilled out the production, and let the song breathe a little more.”
The new album, which will is set to be released on July 22, explores all the pain and sadness that was endured when they almost broke up during the pandemic.

"We managed to survive our rocky patch, and emerge stronger than ever and full of love for each other. It only felt right to write about the other side, where you realize not just that you're meant for each other, but also that it takes two people to make a love flourish," Josephine explained.
