Olivia Rodrigo dropped the latest single from her upcoming album, "Sour," this morning.
In the video for 'good 4 u', released today (May 14), rising L.A. star Oliva Rodrigo plays a psycho ex-girlfriend, as she burns down her bedroom. The Disney Channel breakout star has shared a pop-punk, teen angst anthem her fans will be able to scream along with, echoing Paramore's 'Misery Business'.
The video is the latest in a saga of releases in the run-up to her debut album, Sour, which is set to be released on May 21st. The series of videos chronicle four stages of grief after a breakup.
We saw depression and denial in 'drivers licence', and 'deja-vu,' and now we're seeing the madness that follows her first heartbreak in the Petra Collins-directed video for 'good 4 u'.
Sporting a cheerleading uniform and a smirk in the video, with references to 2009's Jennifer's Body, Rodrigo screams out in rage before flooding and setting fire to her bedroom.
Fans are praising Rodrigo for taking control of her narrative, while comparing the video to Taylor Swift's 'Blank Space'.
