Nice guitars, low key organ, wispy vocals – at first listen this Lawrence, Kansas outfit sounds like a thousand other vaguely indie/alt. country-rock slow burners. But a couple of spins later, you can’t get it out of your head. The rootsy B-side ‘A Thousand Ships’, which faintly recalls bands like Wilco and The Jayhawks, sounds even better. The Lawrence, Kansas outfit are touring Ireland this week, so check them out – I know I will!
