Dublin-raised rapper Archy Moor discusses his new singles below.
Before dropping your Bonnie Hill mixtape, you took a brief hiatus. How has your music changed since you first started?
The main basis for me taking that time off was because I wasn’t really making stuff how I would like to. I like having a comfortable environment, no outside distractions. I couldn’t really find that for a while until I met up with Earl, who produces all my stuff now. As soon as he and I started working together, it was exactly like what I needed. Both of us also meshed on a friend- level, which bleeds back into the music.
How would you describe ‘Don’t Send For Your Dogs’?
There isn’t a deep story, it’s an “in the moment” feeling. Just being in the right mindset with the right people, forgetting all that old stuff, like “having to be around all the cool guys” – that kind of thing. We had an idea, now let’s go out and do it. It took away so much pressure. This next bit of music is a lot better than my Bonnie Hill debut. I don’t know how you can go from putting your soul and heart into something for a year, and then do something in two days and have it be so much better. It’s a bit crazy.
What do you most enjoy about making music?

The expression. Outside of music, I wouldn’t talk so much about myself. I’m laidback, letting everyone do their thing. When it comes to music, I overshare. There’s an appeal to being able to say the things I know I want to say, in a way that can help or inspire other people. I don’t really look at music as this whole thing to be famous and get money, that kind of jazz. I couldn’t really care less about all that. I have this outlet through which I can tell my stories and other people can relate to them, enjoy them, and learn from them. To me, that’s the top of the top, before all that materialistic shit.
