One Direction members have responded to Liam Payne's death on social media, sharing heartfelt messages and tribute pictures. Payne sadly passed away after falling from the third floor of a hotel in Buenos Aires, Argentina, according to local police. Payne was 31 and leaves behind his seven-year-old son, Bear.

Niall Horan has paid tribute to Liam's passing, posting a photo of the pair with a statement reading, "Liam had an energy for life and passion for work that was infectious. He was the brightest in every room and always made everyone feel happy and secure."

The official One Direction Instagram account has also released a statement saying they are "completely devastated" at the loss of their brother. Fans have noticed that there have been no updates on the account since 2020.

In the statement signed by "Louis, Zayn, Niall and Harry," the bandmates said "We're completely devastated by the news of Liam's passing. In Time, and when everyone is able to, there will be more to say."
