Niall Horan and friends scoop two.
The BRIT Awards were back with a sizzle, not a bang.
We continue to run the gambit of awards shows for you the dear Hot Press reader. Last night it was the turn of the British based music spectacular spectacular the brit awards.
Featuring the awards themselves (which seemed to have been designed like a buzz saw) which were inspired by punk, and hosted by James Corden, who the Hot Press staff blow hot and cold on.
The main winners of the night were The Arctic Monkeys, who took away Best British Group and Best British Album for AM, that Marlay Park gig is looking better every day.
One Direction also walked away with two awards, one for Best British Video for ‘Best Song Ever’ and the Brits Global Success award, affectionally known as the One Direction award for being One Direction. The day it goes to Paul McCartney will be a surprise indeed.

Also noteworthy, Prince was there handing out the first award, which went to Ellie Goulding. Prince of course, was an iceberg of cool in a sea of awkwardness. David Bowie was also the winner of Best British Male the most senior member to ever win such an award. Bowie being too Bowie of course was not there, so Kate Moss instead picked up the award... as you do.
Other winners included: Bastille, Lorde and Daft Punk.
