The event aims to bring music education to those in Direct Provision.
O’Regan’s will host a fundraising gig for International Piano Day on March 29.
Organised by Dublin-based pianist and composer Daniel Luke, the lineup will include Luke, Brian Crosby, Lōwli and Johnny Taylor. The free event, taking place from 3-5 p.m., will accept donations at the door.
“There is such a wealth and depth of pianistic talent in the country that I wanted to celebrate it in some small way,” said Luke. “The day will be a celebration of piano, with a variety of styles and genres on display to showcase the versatility and beauty of the instrument.”

In partnership with Music Generation, the proceeds will bring music education to young people in Direct Provision.
The event follows Luke’s latest release, ‘My Father’s Son.’ The track explores father-son relationships, and marks his first song that isn’t a solo piano performance. The accompanying music video premiered at the Back to Front Screening Festival at Dublin’s Stella Cinema.
