Orla Gartland releases single 'Heavy' from her upcoming ‘Freckle Season’ EP
"I wrote it last year when I was right in the thick of desperately missing someone & feeling sad as heck." Gartland says of her new ballad, which she released along with a neon, minimalistic, lyric video.
Self-described as a "music makin' ginger nutcase", Orla Gartland is an Irish singer-songwriter and guitarist from Dublin, gaining popularity through posting cover songs and more recently, her original music on her YouTube channel.
Gartland entered the Irish iTunes charts in 2012 with her debut single 'Devil on my Shoulder'. Shortly thereafter, the indie folk pop musician independently released her first two EPs; Roots in 2013 & Lonely People in 2015, both topping Irish singer/songwriter iTunes charts. Returning back with a bang, Gartland released her third EP Why Am I Like This? in May of 2019, compiled of several previous single releases such as 'I Go Crazy', and 'Between My Teeth'.
"Heavy' is set to feature on Gartland's fourth EP Freckle Season, scheduled for release on February 21st.
Orla Gartland is currently on tour throughout Europe. Make sure to watch the new video for 'Heavy' and check out where to catch her live next:
