Saturday
We were on in the Red Bull Electric Ballroom Stage at 7 o’clock. It was pretty jammed. The crowd was bouncing up and down.
Calvin Harris was headlining on the night and he was on fire. The crowd was massively excited. His stage show was incredible. There was lasers, fireworks, confetti canons... it was like the final scene from Independence Day. And he played one of our bootlegs which was fantastic.
Example was on the Heineken Stage just before Calvin and he was a real highlight. The crowd were hopping for him. He proved that he’s a real crowd-pleaser.
Erol Alkin’s set was legendary. He was on straight after us in the Electric Ballroom and the crowd loved him. He always brings it.
We hung around with 2manydjs for most of the day. They were on directly before us in the Electric Ballroom, and their set went fantastically well.
We had hoped to see Rita Ora but unfortunately she was on the Heineken Stage at the same time as we were playing. We were keen to see what she was wearing – but no luck! The only downer all weekend was that we had to say “no” to the funfair rides as Prez Ronnie is a bit afraid of heights.

The best act I saw was Duke Dumont in the Electric Ballroom. He was doing some deep, funky house, which was refreshing because everyone else was banging them out.
Chase and Status were another real highlight. They were different to most of the other acts over the weekend, mixing it up with some drum ‘n’ bass stuff.
Snoop Dog was good. The Irish love Snoop, he could have done an entire festival on his own. He brought his entourage with him obviously.
My set was probably the busiest I’ve played. It’s my fifth time gigging at Oxegen and I always get the same time-slot at around 5.30pm, which is great for me because there’s no other major act at that time. So people who know me from the radio can just wander down.
David Guetta was on last on the main stage. He gets a great deal of stick these days because he’s now considered a pop star rather than a DJ. He’s been accused of forgetting his underground roots but I don’t think he’s especially worried about it. He has his private jet after all! The place was jumping for him, with everyone in the crowd singing his songs. You can’t argue with that...
