Sheehy has shared a taster of the forthcoming album with first single, 'My Old Friend John'. Listen below.
Former Walking On Cars frontman, Pa Sheehy, has announced the coming of his debut album, Maybe It Was all For This, out October 11th, 2024.
The upcoming album sees Sheehy reflect on and dive into the moments and memories of his late teenage years growing up in Dingle, a small town which is "unrecognisably changing."
“Maybe It Was all For This is my little introvert diary. For me it’s a rollercoaster of an album," Sheehy says. "Sonically it doesn’t stay too long in the same lane. We’ve got feelings of hope and wonder to anguish but ultimately the record is all about acceptance.
His personal ruminations with distinct guitar riffs and veleveteen vocals make this album one of reflection and beauty, drawing on the likes of Tom Waits, Bruce Springsteen and Kings of Leon.
“Accepting myself, my life, people and accepting that life never stays the same, what is now is only like this for a short period and then it all moves again," Pa Sheehy continues.
