‘Who Am I?’ is set for release on 12th February via Dirty Hit - The 1975's label.
Alt-pop outfit Pale Waves have unveiled their brand new track, 'Change', as the first taste of their forthcoming second album Who Am I?.
Their sophomore offering follows their 2018 debut, My Mind Makes Noises, and involves lead vocalist and songwriter Heather Baron-Gracie showing off a more honest side of herself.
“It’s a lot more open, and I’m less hidden. It’s a lot more vulnerable; I actually sound like I have a voice in this."
Speaking to Hot Press following their impressive debut's release, Pale Waves expressed their initial fears at sharing such a major part of themselves with their growing fanbase:
“It’s a very surreal thing to finally have the album out there,” says Heather, shaking her head. “To just be like, ‘Here’s all these tracks at once’. To give that to the world...that was terrifying. But I’m very proud of it.”

“In terms of putting yourself out there and wondering how it’s going to be received. The debut album has been something we’ve thought about since Pale Waves first started. There are songs on there like ‘Kiss’, ‘Television Romance’ and ‘There’s A Honey’ which were written in the early stages of the band. Then some were a gradual process, written in the studio, or when we were touring. It’s a big thing to be giving all that out to the world at once.”
