Can live music get any better?
Last time he graced the Main Stage at the National Concert Hall, we were floored. "There's something deeply spiritual and ritualistic about the sound of chiming bells," wrote Hot Press's Ed Power. "Weber draws on these emotions, the gentle flutterings and minimal beats casting a hypnotic spell. As the deep bass penetrates your bones you wonder: can live music get any better?"
If you're looking for the best of live music, you're in luck because Pantha Du Prince is coming back on Sunday, 29 September to perform his latest work, Conference of the Trees.
In his latest project, the techno artist translates the communication of trees into a new electronic piece for ensemble of musicians in this immersive audio visual performance combining club culture, new music, visual poetry and speculative science.
Hendrik Weber, aka Pantha Du Prince, is one of the pop stars of the electronic music scene and has developed a unique signature sound over the years. Swirling synths, an always present melancholy and his trademark sound, the bells, all together form what is now known as Eiskristalltechno (Spex). His Albums This Bliss and Black Noise have been well received and hailed as some of the most beautiful electronic albums of recent.
