Yeahhhy! Kiwi-punks The D4, featuring the most rideable bass-player since Chrissie Hynde, invite us to a party that sounds like a real blast. Not as up-their-own-holes as The Strokes but not as slick as The Hives, these guys nevertheless provide a decent hit of punk-lite that’s only marred by its manners. Also includes ‘North Shore Bitch’ which nods in the direction of The Ramones and contains the immortal line, “You ain’t nothing but a pig with tits”. Heh-heh.
