The remastered record will have two alternate versions: one in Dolby Atmos, and an "underdubbed" version.
As it approaches its 50th anniversary, Paul McCartney and Wings' 1973 classic album Band on the Run is getting remastered.
The record, out 2nd February 2024, will be expanded with two alternate versions: one in Dolby Atmos, and the other "underdubbed". "Underdubbed", in this case, means the orchestral parts of the songs have been removed.
"This is Band on the Run in a way you’ve never heard before,” McCartney said about the underdubbed reissue. “When you are making a song and putting on additional parts, like an extra guitar, that’s an overdub. Well, this version of the album is the opposite, underdubbed.”
The "underdubbed" version consists of unreleased rough mixes created by Geoff Emerick at AIR Studios during the original 1973 sessions and has a different running order than the original record.

The band's third record, Band on the Run topped the Billboard 200, produced three Billboard Hot 100 top 10s and collected a triple-platinum certification.
