The song is set to appear on Weller’s upcoming album 66
English singer-songwriter Paul Weller has released his new single ‘Nothing’, ahead of his forthcoming new album 66, set to come out on May 24.
The former Jam frontman co-wrote ‘Nothing’ with Madness frontman Suggs and their mutual friend Andrew Chalk.
A music video for the track, directed by Back to Black actor Jack O’Connell, is also expected to be released. It will mark O’Connell’s directorial debut.
Recorded over three years at Weller’s Black Barn studio, the upcoming 66 features collaborations with peers such as Noel Gallagher, Bobby Gillespie, and Suggs. Additionally, contributions from artists like Dr. Robert, Richard Hawley, Steve Brooks, and Say She She are to be expected.

The influential musician initially achieved fame with the punk rock/new wave band The Jam. He had further success with the soul music of the Style Council, before establishing himself as a solo artist with his eponymous 1992 album.
Weller will be touring the UK & Ireland extensively this year in support of the album, including a headline performance at Trinity College Dublin as part of the Summer Series and a show in Limerick Castle on July 3.
