The American band have announced their first live shows since 2010.
Pavement will play a show in Vicar Street on November 10th, 2022, as part of their reunion tour.
The beloved indie rockers will play the final show of their European and UK tour in Dublin. The reunion tour will see the classic line-up of Stephen Malkmus, Scott “Spiral Stairs” Kannberg, Mark Ibold, Bob Nastanovich and Steve West link up once more for their first run of shows since 2010. Tickets are available from Friday (September 10) via Ticketmaster.
Pavement formed in Stockton, California in 1989 and released 5 albums before they disbanded in 1999. They reunited in 2010 for a run of shows but they have not released any new music.
Along with the announcement of the shows, a statement reads:
“The music remains untouchable, and the future shrouded in mystery. More worldwide reunion dates? A celebration of one of the band’s canonical and not-yet-reissued LPs? More news to follow”.
