Pearl Jam Release First New Song In Five Years
Pearl Jam has unveiled a new protest song 'Can't Deny Me', which is actually their first piece of new original music since the LP 'Lightning Bolt' back in 2013.
Eddie Vedder belts out the following lyrics during the track: 'The higher, the farther, the faster you fly / You may be rich but you can't deny me / Got nothing, got nothing but the will to survive / You can't control and you can't deny me."
In what appears to be a direct reference to Donald Trump and his administration, the lyrics also include: "Watch as the roots take hold / the country you are representing / critical condition."
It's unclear if the song is from a new album, or if it's the annual installment in Pearl Jam's "Holiday Singles" series.
