Peeling in the years
The Undertones record John Peel session after 20 year break, release DVD rockumentary 'Teenage Kicks'
After a 20 year break, The Undertones return to the BBC studios in Maida Vale next month to record a new John Peel session.
"I'm so excited it's ridiculous," enthuses singer Paul McLoon. "You're not a proper band until you do John Peel, and obviously I wasn't there the first time round."
As revealed last month in Hot Press, Derry's finest have been polishing off a 14-track album that gets a live airing at Jury's Hotel, Cork (March 15) and the St. Patrick's Day Festival, London (16).
The other good news is that their fab John Peel-narrated Teenage Kicks documentary is to get a DVD release later in the year with loads of bonus goodies such as the 'Here Comes Norman' video which has been rediscovered after being lost for 23 years. A nation waits with bated breath!
