The 'Young Folks' hitmakers released the record in October, having started working on it almost immediately after their 2016 effort in Breakin' Point. Darker Days represents a bit of a sea change for the band, who elected to take a more simplistic approach more reflective of their earlier years, from its cover art to the literal composition of the music.
Starting with the title and working with it from there as the central theme of the album, each of Peter, Bjorn and John interpreted the meaning of Darker Days in their own way, then brought their own ideas to the studio and pieced it all together as a trio. With each members' perspective of darkness being different, ranging from a holistic look at the world right now, to relationship issues, to one's own personal psyche, what Darker Days provides is an extensive exploration into a singular subject.

As well as the release of the album, the tour promises to be a special one for fans as it will also mark the twentieth anniversary of Peter Bjorn and John since their formation once it kicks off in 2019.
Tickets are priced at €20.00 inclusive of booking fees and go on sale this Thursday - November 22nd - at 9AM. Check out the official video for 'Gut Feeling' - a single taken off of Darker Days - below:
