A must for all music fans of the 60's era
‘Be My Baby, The Phil Spector Story’ explores the life and music of the iconic record producer/songwriter. Hitting Waterford on Thursday September 20th, the show is set in a 60s style recording studio as ten musicians/actors bring to life the songs that Phil Spector wrote or produced.
Featuring the music of The Ronettes, The Crystals, The Righteous brothers, Tina Turner, John Lennon, Leonard Cohen, The Ramones, George Harrison and more. All recorded using Spector’s ground breaking and revolutionary “Wall of sound” recording technique. Spector’s eccentric behaviour is showcased when he fires a live round off in a studio session with John Lennon, and holds a gun to Leonard Cohen. All this is acted out to a set list of timeless hits, performed by a live 10 piece band including a brass section and three female vocalists.
