PowPig's latest single 'Intellectual' has been selected for Spotify's 'Spooky' playlist – a "Halloween mixtape" curated by acclaimed American singer-songwriter Phoebe Bridgers.

Tipped as one of the Hot Press ‘Hot for 2019’ acts while they were still in school, PowPig have emerged as one of the country's most captivating alt-rock bands of recent memory. Following a string of acclaimed EPs, festival performances, sold-out headliners and a support slot for Girl Band, the Limerick band made their highly anticipated return in 2020 with ‘Intellectual’. They also featured on the Hot Press Lockdown Sessions' Y&E Series in June. Revisit their performance here.

Phoebe Bridgers, who released her latest album, Punisher, earlier this year, has been widely praised as one of the most compelling songwriters of her generation. As well as her solo work, she is also known for her work in supergroups Boygenius (with Julien Baker and Lucy Dacus) and Better Oblivion Community Center (with Bright Eyes' Conor Oberts).
