The Athy band will be playing to a whopping 70,000 fans next March
Having told Hot Press at Electric Picnic that they’re intent on becoming one of the biggest bands on the planet, Picture This move another step closer to achieving that goal with the release today at 4pm of 'One Drink', and the confirmation of a new album, MDRN LV, and five Dublin 3Arena dates from March 27-31. Tickets priced from €49.90 go on general sale at 9am on Wednesday October 24.
Ambitious, yes, but with their RDS Main Arena headliner in June selling out weeks in advance – they could easily have done two nights in the 30,000-capacity D4 venue – we’ve no doubt that the ‘house full’ signs will be going up again.
Along with such tried and tested crowd-pleasers as ‘Take My Hand’, ‘Addicted To You’, ‘Never Change’, ‘This Morning’ and ‘When We Were Young’, Athy’s finest will be previewing tunes from MDRN LV, which will drop on February 15, 2019. Pre-ordering also starts at 4pm today.
The announcement has just been made by the lads in the Westbury Hotel where Hot Press’ Aoife Bradshaw, Peter McGoran and Miguel Ruiz are on respective reporting, interviewing and photographing duties.
Stay tuned for comprehensive updates.
Our second album ‘MDRN LV’ will be released on February 15, 2019.
