The award winning international musician will play two shows in Wexford in December.
Pierce Turner was formerly voted solo performer of the year by a panel of Irish critics at the 1994 Hot Press Awards. Spending most of his time in New York City, where he now lives, Pierce is back to perform another series of his famous Parlour performances this December.
Described as “easily one of the most important Irish artists of the last twenty years” by Tony Clayton Lea in The Irish Times, Pierce has become a household name in the country. After his performance for Tibet House in Carnegie Hall with Patty Smith and Iggy Pop, The New York Times music critic Tony Pareles raved “Soaring! A cross between David Bowie and Joni Mitchell.”
The accolades for the international Irish artist far outweigh his commercial success, but not his reputation and achievements, anyone who has seen his powerful live performance can attest to that.
