The folk singer will also be releasing his newest LP Terrible Good in March.
Wexford-born Pierce Turner will be taking the stage on December 23rd at his annual Wexford Arts Centre gig, as well as performing at Whelan's in Dublin on January 7th.
He will be accompanied by Sam Killeen on guitar and Delia Lynch on Cello. After the two shows, the singer-songwriter will be venturing across the pond to the United States where he will focus on promoting his upcoming album Terrible Good - set to release in March 2022.
Speaking with Hot Press about the album, Pierce Turner said: "It's my first real electric guitar album with Gerry Leonard – who, of course, was David Bowie’s guitarist – on that instrument. It really sounds like a band."
"Gerry and I wanted to make a New York album, as we are both Irish musicians that have lived there for decades. Having purposely avoided it all my life, it’s time to try to pigeonhole my music. This should make my life a little bit more cyber-easy, and hopefully, knock me out of the dreary singer-songwriter category. For the first time, I can actually name what my music sounds like: Irish alternative guitar-rock."
