Turner tweeted out on Wednesday (August 19th).
Wexford folk musician Pierce Turner is searching for a couple who are willing to get married on stage so that he might retain his gig slot at the Wexford Arts Centre on August 22nd.
Tweeting this morning, Turner relayed that his 30 capacity gig at the Arts Centre had been cancelled. He is hoping to find a couple to have their wedding at the gig, as new restrictions on public gatherings does not include weddings. If a couple agrees to be married at the Wexford Arts Centre, Turner could have as many as 50 guests hear him play live music for the first time since before lockdown.
Turner's last studio album Vinegar Hill was released in 2019.
