Alternative Dublin outfit Pigeon Millers have shared their latest single ‘Tiptoe’. To celebrate the release, the band have also announced an intimate show in Whelan’s on Saturday, 8 June.
“It's about someone who’s lost their own identity as a result of trying to please their partner,” says lead singer Doug Sheridan of the track. “It’s from the male perspective here, but it could easily be the other way around. We’re all people pleasers to some degree.
“The song is quite intense, but I actually see it as capturing a positive moment as the person is beginning to realise their own worth and opens up to their partner about the tension between them.”
The band have confirmed that they have begun work on a new album, following on from their acclaimed debut, 2021’s The Onlookers Redemption.

With a sound described as a 'heady mixture of Neil Young and Jeff Buckley with soaring vocals and evocative lyrics', frontman Sheridan’s songs have appeared on an array of TV series and films, TV/Films including Love/Hate.
The singer is joined by Paddy Lyons (guitar), Ed Kelly (drums) & Steve Walker (bass), each songwriters & multi-instrumentalists whose formation the band have described as a “magical accident.”
Tickets for the Pigeon Miller's Whelan's show on 8 June are available now via the venue's website.
