After selling out their gig at Dublin's Vicar Street, Pillow Queens have just added a second date at the venue for their Irish tour.
Indie rock phenomenon Pillow Queens have just announced an additional Vicar Street show on Sunday, 2nd October 2022.
The announcement comes after news that their October 1st performance has already sold out.
"LADS. We only went and sold out Vicar St!!!" The group tweeted. "We’re in complete shock but absolutely over the moon. Even playing on the Vicar St stage is such a bucket list moment for us so being able to announce a SECOND DATE is a dream. Thanks so much!"
Started by Sarah Corcoran and Pamela Connolly in 2016, the group has grown into one of Ireland's most in-demand acts. From sharing the stage with the likes of IDLES, Soak, and Pussy Riot, to their recent US TV debut on The Late Late Show with James Corden, Pillow Queens' star is firmly on the rise.
Last year the group released their debut album IN WAITING. Published by their own label and recorded alongside award-winning producer Tommy Mclaughlin, the record was received with near-universal acclaim. Hot Press's Tannis Smither described the record as "...hallmarked by tough, bruising poetry, delivered impeccably as Pillow Queens restlessly bounce from genre to genre, refusing to settle."

The quartet announced their Irish tour last month. Kicking off with their first Dublin gig and originally slated to end with their Kilkenny performance on October 20th, the tour includes a show at the Empire in Belfast on Friday, 14th. Pillow Queens will be spending much of 2022 touring outside of Ireland, with gigs scheduled throughout the US, UK, and Europe.
Tickets for the second show will go on sale this Friday, 26th November at 10 am.
