The Dublin-based band will be playing live from Los Angeles.
Recent Hot Press cover stars Pillow Queens are set to make their highly anticipated return to The Late Late Show with James Corden – with a performance on the show tonight, airing at 4.37am Irish time.
The Dublin-based band – who release their highly anticipated second album, Leave The Light On, on April 1 – previously played on the hugely popular American late-night talk show in January 2021. Corden said their debut LP, In Waiting, was "one of the best albums of 2020," and described Pillow Queens as "an outrageously talented rock band."
Their upcoming performance on the show will be filmed live from Los Angeles. Following the band's appearance at SXSW in Austin, Texas, they're about to set off on their first headline tour of North America.
Pillow Queens signed to Royal Mountain Records last year, and Leave The Light On is set to be the first project they've released through the Canadian label – whose alumni include the likes of Alvvays, Mac DeMarco, U.S. Girls and Orville Peck.
In their recent Hot Press cover story interview, the band discussed the inspiration behind the upcoming record.
“We are at a particular stage in life, one in which you think you’re not going to feel emotions as much as you felt them when you were younger, but then you find that that’s not necessarily the case,” reflected singer/guitarist Pamela Connolly. “It was an active thing for us, to be a little bit more forthcoming with our emotions on this record. Because we had the time to feel them, articulate them, and explore them.”
