A new version of one of the highlights from the excellent Felt Mountain album (rightly nominated for the Mercury Music Prize), ‘Pilots’ sees Goldfrapp doing what it is they do best.

Combining Portishead-like beatscapes with searing, soaring atmospherics and Alison Goldfrapp’s inimitable vocals: this woman comes across warm and icy at the same time, for fuck’s sake. If you like their previous work, you’ll love this no end. If not, run, run away, because this is one band that is going places.
