The indie group also shared a new single, 'Phase,' accompanied by their first ever music video.
Pinegrove announced today that their new album, Marigold, will release on 17 January 2020 via Rough Trade Records. The follow-up to 2018's Skylight comes bundled with two new sets of tour dates, one in North America and the other in Europe, as well as a new single, 'Phase,' out today. 'Moment,' released back in August, will also be on the record.
The band will be performing at The Grand Social on 28 March with support from Katy J Pearson. Those who pre-order the album will obtain early access to concert tickets.
In a press release, frontman Evan Stephens Hall explained, "The song 'Phase' is more or less about insomnia—trying to sleep but things racing in your mind, looking around your room, looking at things from the perspective of your bed, seeing all the things you could do or should be doing, enumerating tasks, making lists in your head, moving through anxieties & eventually, hopefully, into sleep."
