The demos were recorded over the course of 2018 leading up to the release of the band's acclaimed 2019 album Beneath the Eyrie.
Pixies have released Beneath the Eyrie Demos Pt. 2, a collection of three new demos. They follow the three Beneath The Eyrie Demos: Pt. 1 tracks that were made available on January 20.
Pt. 2 includes demo versions of 'Caught In A Dream', 'Mal De Mer' and 'Hey, Debussy.' These tracks were written by Pixies’ Black Francis and recorded by the band over the course of 2018 leading up to the December 2018 Beneath The Eyrie album recording sessions at Dreamland Recordings in Woodstock, New York.
Beneath The Eyrie, produced by Grammy-nominated Tom Dalgety (Ghost, Royal Blood, Pixies' Head Carrier), was released on September 13, 2019 and has received some of the best reviews of the band's post-reunion career.
Pixies have been acclaimed as the most influential, pioneering band of the late 80s alt/rock movement, having blazed the trail for artists from Nirvana to Radiohead to Pearl Jam. Today, a whole new generation of music fans is discovering the band's iconic "loudquietloud" signature sound.
