It seems maturity is creeping in round GK towers – say it ain’t so! The off-the-wall housey mischievousness of their debut LP is replaced on the first third of this LP by gentler numbers, of which only the bizarre, slo-mo soul of ‘You Don’t Know Me’ works.

The off-the-wall housey mischievousness of their debut LP is replaced on the first third of this LP by gentler numbers, of which only the bizarre, slo-mo soul of ‘You Don’t Know Me’ works. Still, it veers back into electro/rock/house/boompty fun after that – ‘Slippin’’ rocks silly vocals and warm keys, ‘Keep It Down’ is a rolling electro/houser with good female vocals while ‘Lotion’ sounds like Beck. Still, this feels incomplete. Can do better.
