The Prodigy: “Poison” (XL Recordings)
Simian technological belching from the prodigal ones as they intone incessantly that they’ve got the rhythmical remedy to an unspecified poison. Answer and call technique along with farting synths make me wonder just what Cabaret Voltaire would’ve made of all this. Now there was a band who could move your feet and your brain. The Prodigy’s subversive quality is vaguer I suppose.
