A brand new 'pop-up' radio station, The Sound Of Ireland, will be celebrating the best of Irish music in the run-up to St Patrick's Day – launching on March 11, and running until March 18.
Broadcasting online and on FM in Dublin, the station aims to celebrate the national holiday with Ireland and the world – by amplifying the best of Irish business, culture, tourism, music and more.
The Sound Of Ireland will be soundtracked by top Irish music, and feature stories of Irish trailblazers who have changed the worlds of music, sport, literature, and science.
You can get involved by voting in The Sound of Ireland Survey – where you can vote for Best Irish Band Ever, Best Current Irish Act, Best Irish Song Ever, Best Irish Slang Word, and more.

For Those I Love, Denise Chaila, Fontaines D.C., Pillow Queens, Villagers, Dermot Kennedy and more are in the running for Best Current Irish Act – while the nominees for Best Irish Band Ever include U2, The Cranberries, Thin Lizzy, The Pogues and The Dubliners.
