Having released six studio albums since their formation in England in 1979, The The features a rotating cast of collaborators, with frontman and founder Matt Johnson as the only permanent member. Their upcoming tour, dubbed the Ensouled World Tour, will bring together members from different eras of The The's past- following in the footsteps of their most recent tour in 2018, The Comeback Special.
Last month, The The announced four massive headline dates across the UK, including shows in Manchester and Edinburgh, as well as a 2024 Australia/New Zealand run. The news of their Dublin headliner comes after a week of the band teasing more countries on social media.
Wider Than Pictures has hosted some of the biggest artists in the world since its first iteration in 2022, including Simply Red, Alt-J, Fleet Foxes, First Aid Kit, Future Islands, The Vamps, Franz Ferdinand, Mick Flannery and YUNGBLUD. The concert series will be announcing the rest of 2024's headliners in the coming weeks.
