The Soundgarden front man sadly passed away in May 2017.
The estate of rock luminary Chris Cornell have announced that a new career-spanning album of his featuring unreleased studio and live material is available on November 16th.
Titled Chris Cornell, the album is 17 tracks long and includes 'When Bad Does Good', which was said to be a favourite of his and has been released on YouTube in the shape of a lyric video. A 64-track limited-edition deluxe box set is also to be released alongside the record.
It will be the first release of Cornell's since his tragic and unexpected passing last year.
“Since Chris’ sudden passing I have put all my efforts and energy into sharing his music and legacy with his fans from all over the world,” said Vicky Cornell, Chris' wife who is releasing the album on behalf of The Chris Cornell Estate through UMe. “I felt we needed to create a special collection to represent all of him - the friend, husband and father, the risk taker and innovator, the poet and artist. His soaring vocals found their way into the hearts and souls of so many. His voice was his vision and his words were his peace. This album is for his fans.”
Cornell's extensive catalogue dictates that there will be a lot packed into the 17-song opus, including some of his work with Soundgarden, Temple of the Dog and Audioslave as well as solo hits and previously unreleased recordings.

On top of the standard versions, there will also be a double LP edition available that comes with a 32-page booklet with many unreleased photos, and liner notes from former bandmates, while a super deluxe version of the box set will have a wealth of material contained within four CDs, seven LPs, and a DVD.
