âWe appreciate your kind & loving words over the last 2 years,â the post reads. âThere is lots of news to share with you very soon.â
Alongside the announcement are pictures of Abbey Road studiosâ front door and a hoard of mixing consoles.
Hailing from Washington State, Lanegan rose to prominence as the lead singer of the envelope-pushing, alt-rock band Screaming Trees, a heavy hitter in Seattle's emerging grunge scene in the early â90s.
He went from rock underdog to punk's top dog, with a stockpile of incredible solo releases under his belt, collaborations with Kurt Cobain and Isobel Campbell and a longtime member of Queens of the Stone Age. His last album was 2020âs Straight Songs of Sorrow, making this upcoming release the first from Lanegan in 4 years.
