The LP will be the influential hyperpop artist's first major posthumous release.
A sophomore album by the late Scottish music prouder and song writer SOPHIE, is slated for a September 27 release.
The self titled LP SOPHIE is produced by the late artist herself and Benny Long.
Lead single off of SOPHIE, 'Reason Why' is out today and includes features from BC Kingdom and Kim Petras.
SOPHIE died at the age of 34 from an accidental fall in Athens, Greece, in January 2021, where it was reported she had been taken to the hospital after accidentally falling three storeys from the rooftop of a building while attempting to take a picture of the full moon.
She died later as a result of her injuries in Attikon University Hospital in Athens.
She released one studio album of her lifetime, in the form of Oil of Every Pearl’s Un-Insides, in June 2018. Which garnered her a nomination for Best Dance/Electronic Album at the 2019 Grammy Awards.

Numerous musicians including Charli XCX, Kim Petras and Caroline Polachek have dedicated albums, songs and awards to the late artist.
According to reports, SOPHIE was nearly finished with SOPHIE before she died. The new album is also billed as “the final SOPHIE album release.”
