Power Up

If I told you that ‘Power Up’, the epic, guitar-driven new single from Wicklow art rockers Croupier is intrinsically linked to Robbie Williams’ ‘Candy’ in the muddled library of my brain, would you flat-out refuse to listen to it? If the answer is “yes”, I don’t blame you, but please, for the sake of your own ears, forget I ever said anything. A charging, shape-shifting indie anthem boasting at least three choruses, ‘Power Up’ is a delightful ball of contradictions; heavy, hopeful and resolutely pop-minded all at the same time.
