Ahead of the release of his highly anticipated debut double-EP, set for split release in the coming months, 1000 Beasts has shared a behind-the-scenes music video for his new single, '5 Points', featuring Alex Tierney.
Drawing influence from the likes of Kaytranada, Flume, Mr Jukes and Tom Misch, with a hi-tech live show that combines live looping, triggering and sampling with live vocals, the Cork electronic artist is one of Ireland's most thrillingly unique new talents.
'5 Points' was produced while 1000 Beasts was on the road, with two days off in the Five Points district of Nashville, Tennessee. – sitting out on the porch into the early hours.
"There's the sound of the siren of an ambulance playing throughout large sections of the track," he reveals. "This is because, despite having headphones on, I could hear an ambulance pass while I was producing the track. The sound suited, so I decided to record the siren on my iPhone and put it into the track."
