Ahead of the release of her upcoming Look, I'm Flyin' EP, Aislinn Logan has returned with a stunning new single, 'What Everybody's After'.
The London-based Belfast artist has rapidly built up a reputation for her ability to encase pressing societal issues, such as addiction and sexism, inside her shimmering synth pop sound.
Her new self-produced single, recorded at home, revels in a sense of defiant joy. As a queer person, Aislinn notes that "writing a song this forthright about being in love is rebellious in itself. I didn't want to shy away from the sincerity of my feelings."
"'What Everybody's After' is about feeling so light that you're nostalgic for the present moment," she continues. "I wanted to make something unapologetically sincere about feeling prismatic happiness, and just bathing in it when you get there."
The track was mixed by Kristofer Harris (Ghostpoet, Belle and Sebastian) with bass from Conor King (Milk., JyellowL), and is set to appear on Aislinn's highly anticipated EP, Look, I'm Flyin' – which explores the journey between loss, self-doubt and solace.
