Amerik (real name Adam Booth) has also announced the release of his debut EP, Bouquet - slated to arrive in April 2021.
After releasing a string of compelling singles in 2018 and 2019, composer and producer Amerik has shared the first single from his forthcoming EP, 'Olive'.
The collaborative Bouquet EP features four of the best local songwriters including Gareth Dunlop - whose vocals enhance 'Olive' - Travi The Native, Little Rivers and Pete Wallace.
A marriage of anthemic sounds and deeply personal introspective lyricism, the ambient depth of 'Olive' is perfectly explored within fellow Belfast man Dunlop's vocals.
The pair's talent amalgamate in a gorgeous parallel of vocal strength and darkly modern electronic production. Fusing rich synths and chordal progressions, the track acts as a rousing marker of what Amerik's Bouquet EP will achieve.
“The EP name came from a photograph I took from my wedding day in 2019, and how each flower within a bouquet has their own unique style, but all complement each other," Amerik says of Bouquet's genesis.

"In the same way, each track is unique to the artist through their lyrics, but centred around my co-writing, composition and arrangement.”
As a songwriter, Gareth Dunlop's brand of rugged, soulful-acoustic style has been picked up by a diverse set of artists. His golden vocals have appeared in the likes of Lucifer, Nashville and One Tree Hill in the past. By splitting his time between Belfast and Nashville, Dunlop has refined his style while touring with the likes of Van Morrison, The Stereophonics, Snow Patrol and James Morrison
