The indie four-piece have also announced their biggest headline show to date at the Grand Social in April.
East Coast noisemakers CABL have teamed up with director Ryan Mortell for the gripping new music video for ‘See You In A Year And A Half’, the title track from their acclaimed debut EP.
The track and accompanying film exhibit the band’s knack for brooding, narrative storytelling – as their distinct brand of blissful shoegaze buttresses the dreamlike idealisations of a lost lover detailed in the song’s lyrics.
“When the band approached me to the video, I found myself being drawn in by the track in its instrumentation and storytelling within the lyrics,” said Mortell.
“From this, I developed a narrative that followed a man as he attempts to burn his past memories because it is easier to forget than to remember what could have been.
“This travelling between these states of reality, dreams and memories became the basis for the video and ultimately something I believe the crew and I achieved.”

The promising quartet debuted with a support slot for post-punk outfit Gurriers in 2021. They’ve since built a reputation as an invigorating live act, securing further supporting gigs for the likes of The Scratch, Kynsy and Cruel Sister.
CABL look to keep their momentum in the live arena rolling, with a headline show in Dublin’s Grand Social on 6 April, 2024. Tickets are on sale now and are available via Eventbrite.ie.
