Get an exclusive look at the hotly tipped Waterford artist's first ever music video below.
Following the release of her soulful new single 'Pray' last week, Carrie Baxter returns with the highly anticipated music video for the lauded track.
The stunning visuals mark another major landmark on the Waterford native's remarkable rise to stardom – as her first ever full-length music video.
"It's really a huge joy for me to put this out, as I'm such a huge fan of film and storytelling," Carrie says of the video. "I hope it unlocks another dimension of the song for y'all.
Since its release on Friday, 'Pray' has already received coveted spots on major Spotify editorial playlists – including R&B UK and A Breath of Fresh Éire.
“I wrote ‘Pray’ in 2018," she reveals. "It is the last song from a batch of very honest stories I wrote about a tragic love affair. The lyrics fell out of the pen and the beat is in homage to my first love: hip-hop. It feels good to open the year with a track that I have held close for a long time.”

Last year, Carrie Baxter emerged as one of the most thrilling new forces in Irish music with the release of her debut EP, Placebo – which married neo-soul and hip-hop-flavoured jazz in an approach that mirrored the best of Amy Winehouse and Erykah Badu.
