The acclaimed artist is set to drop an album later this year.
Chris Kabs transcends a breakup in the new video for his R&B banger ‘Moon’ as the Dublin-based producer dreams of sailing the sea of tranquility to “create a whole fresh life situation as this planet earth no longer seems to be exciting for me.”
‘Moon’ features laid-back Drake-inspired production fused with the “futuristic sensibilities” of the late ‘90’s and early ‘00’s. This is the first single from the producer’s upcoming album who has established himself as an artist to watch in 2022. ‘Moon’ dropped in October and the video is slated to arrive on January 28th.
“The moon represents a new beginning where anything is possible,” Chris says of the symbolic meaning of the track. “I am eager to go to the moon and see if I can create a whole fresh life situation as this planet earth no longer seems to be exciting for me.”
The track was penned in collaboration with Chris’ long-time friend and business partner JyellowL. Chris has worked with JyellowL before and produced ‘Ozone’ for the rapper which featured on Fifa 20 and ‘Oh Lawd’ which was included on the Normal People soundtrack.
Chris came up with the concept for the stunning Gerard Walsh-directed visuals for ‘Moon.’ The trippy video includes psychedelic imagery and Chris singing the track alongside an actress. Kabs also produced the track.
