Ahead of the release of his upcoming debut album, Mon Petit Jardin, Christian Wethered shares the highly anticipated music video for the project's first single, 'Mr Medicine Man' – premiering on the Hot Press YouTube channel at 8pm.

The track, which he recently performed as part of First Fortnight, explores the feeling of helplessness caused by depression. It also addresses the need to honour sadness in order to move on. The video, filmed on an iPhone from a Dublin Bus, features the city centre in the midst of the ongoing pandemic.

"I wanted to record our collective experience of this crazy time, so I fixed my phone to the window and played the song in my head," Christian says of the video for 'Mr Medicine Man'. "The song is also an opportunity to highlight mental health, which is obviously affecting the whole world at the moment."

Drawing influence from the legendary likes of Leonard Cohen and Lou Reed, the Dublin-based singer-songwriter and poet is poised for major success on these shores and beyond, with the release of Mon Petit Jardin later his year.
