The punk-rocker turned affecting troubadour is back with a compelling video for his latest symphonic-pop triumph.
Fresh from a lauded display the National Concert Hall, Derry native Colm Warren brings forth his latest heartstring-pulling single ‘Alright’.
Previously fronting Northern Irish punk outfit The Twenty, Warren has taken a more delicate, confessional turn with his solo material, and following in the vein of his previously releases tunes ‘Just Me’, ‘Choked’ and ‘Truth’, he returns to offer up another compelling slice of emotive pop.
A suitably beautiful video accompanies the track. Depicting the ups and downs of a mother-daughter relationship, the stunningly shot film follows their lifelong journey through familial conflict, loneliness, support and ultimately, love.

The feature was shot and directed by Tetsuhiko 'Ted' Endo on location in Kells, Co. Meath and stars Jade Silke Fetherston, Kaylyn Martin, Hannah Magee, Lou Morley, Noelle Clarke and Réiltín Nic Eoin.
Described as an "exploration of how someone suffering from severe illness, or one's close to them, might be feeling in the run-up to or in the wake of their death", the Joe Egan-produced number features synergetic guitars and an elegant string arrangement buttressing the singer-songwriter's typically sincere lyricism – culminating in an earworm chorus which is as reassuring as it is resounding.
