The pop-rock group Sparkle have a brand new song that Hot Press is proud to premiere.
Taken from the Cork five piece's upcoming EP, 'Mistake' also comes with a video for the track.
The music video documents a young woman finding her feet again after a break-up with her boyfriend, fitting the theme of the song described in a press release as a "feel-good break-up anthem with a pop/rock sound."
It is about learning you are better off without this person that drains you of all your energy and trust."
Initially formed as a two-piece band in 2017, Sparkle have sometimes been compared to artists such as The Cranberries, The Coronas, Fleetwood Mac, Ed Sheeran and Paramore.

Their cover of Sheeran's 'Castle on The Hill' back then went viral and was picked up by their local radio station Cork's 96FM.
Since then, Sparkle have added more members and gone from strength to strength, playing shows at Whelans, Electric Picnic, the National Concert Hall as well as Pride Festivals in Dublin and Cork.
